Choice Blog - The Power of Music
Music is definitely a huge part of my life. Without music my life would be nothing. I always find myself listening to music or thinking about it everywhere I go. Whether it be driving around in my car, or driving to school. Sitting at home doing homework. Or maybe a song will pop into my head while sitting in class. It's everywhere.
I've always dreamed of having a career in music, or something relating to it. I've always wanted to play guitar, but I can never find the time to learn how to. I know a few simple things, but thats about it. I also love to sing. I almost always sing along to music. Whether it be many of the heavy metal songs I play, or a classic rock tune, all the way to a ballad. Singing loud is a good way to relieve a lot of stress I believe.
My mood always depends on what kind of music I listen to as well. If I am angry, or want to be pumped up, or if I just feel like listening to it at that time, I'll put on some Slipknot or any other type of metal. That is my favorite type of music I think. Metal and Hard Rock music. Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands of all time. I could sit here and make a giant list of all the bands in my library, but I don't want to take up too much space.
And I can never forget about the classics. Led Zeppelin, Doors, Hendrix, and the almighty Metallica.
Although rock is my favorite kind of music, I will listen to just about everything when it comes down to it. But hard rock and metal is definitely the primary genre of my liking. The only thing that I am not quite fond of is Country or Western. Just not my thing.
Alternative is always a favorites as well. My chemical romance, Brand New, ect;
And who can go wrong with Lady Gaga? She's amazing.
Anyways, when it comes down to it, music is a primary element of my life. It expresses so many different things and feelings. There is nothing like going ape shit to a metal song to get your adrenaline pumping. Just listening to the music and letting it flow through your veins. Its one of the best feeling in the world. I mean really, what would this world be like if we couldn't listen to the music of our liking? It would be absolutely nothing in my eyes
